Outdoor Education

As a Senior Leader in the Academy I will do everything I can to foster a positive culture and ‘can do’ attitude towards Outdoor Education. This is an area where everyone can not only have success and achieve but can allow themselves to be challenged. It will also help to build strength and resilience that will enable our students to be successful in future life.

All the opportunities we offer in Outdoor Education will help students with their personal development, developing their self esteem, motivation, team work, leadership and confidence. I know from my own experience that our students will respond to all the opportunities and challenges that we present them.

Our Year 7 residential trip to Aberdovey is just one of the opportunities we offer as part of our Outdoor Education curriculum. I am particularly excited about working with the Outward Bound team who have tailor made our trip to Aberdovey to suit the needs of our students and will deliver an exciting programme of events whilst maintaining the aims and ethos of our Academy.
